Between 2013-2015 every division between 135-154 was competitive as hell. Every guy was aiming for the crown. Now that the crown is vacant no one "really" wants to be the man.:huh A few foreign guys want the mantle but language barriers and a lack of star power competition is keeping them from taking position. It seems to be getting worse, not better since TBE departed.
Salido vs. Vargas Thurman vs. Porter Santa Cruz vs. Frampton Dorticos vs. Kalenga Briedis vs. Durodola Stevenson vs. Williams Jr. Huck vs. Afolabi 4 Conlon vs. Nelson Tapales vs. Sor Singyu Magsayo vs. Avalos Pagara vs. Juarez Fonfara vs. Smith Jr. Margarito vs. Paez Jr. Browne vs. Chagaev Glowacki vs. Cunningham Benavidez vs. Santana Vargas vs. Ali Braehmer vs. Cleverly Bellew vs. Makabu Pretty damn good year so far in my opinion.
Yes they were. Thurman was the biggest example of only fighting for Mayweather. Now he only fights once a year since an old shot Collazo tapped his cage.
Perfect. Now I want dummies to remember this when they are *****ing about "the best not fighting the best".
That's the common trend for Haymon fighters. One good paycheck, but that's the only one you'll get that year.
The divisions have been good this year, I think. We're seeing people actually strive to be the best in their own division rather than praying they'd be big enough to fluke the Mayweather payday.
