Or was it Manny's excellent chin that made Cotto look weak? Cotto wasn't planting his feet optimally but damn man, Manny has been knocked down before by less stronger fighters.

Cotto looks FAST but not SPEEDFUL/POWERFUL...maybe he was better off being a slugger?

I DONT KNOW....I'm a Cotto fan and devastated at how he was dominated.

People are still using his early career losses to test his punch taking abilities.

If this fight was any indication, those fights were FLUKES.

Cotto allowed Pacquiao to acclimate to his power too early by loading up on everything. As usual. Pacquiao took the punches but he'll be as sore as he's ever been when he gets up today.

For me, this is probably the most important thing to take away from the whole fight -- Manny was hit by some hard shots from Cotto and didn't bat a ****ing eyelash. THAT is a very telling thing.

It was there alright, but Pacman kept a game face and took the shots. You can see that he took some punishment if you look at him after the fight.

Cotto was hitting him as hard as he could, doesn't help when the guy you're hitting has an armour plated body!

Manny's right ear was cauliflowered up pretty good by the end of the fight. Hope he had that drained before his concert at the Mandalay!

to be honest i was thinking last night that cottos punches werent looking as hard or thrown with as much dedication as usual. he was obviously wary of mannys counter shots and didnt want to fully dedicate to his punches

The two times being stopped he was 17and 20 years old. Not saying he can't be stopped now but even at 20 give the guy a break. Most people aren't even pros by then.

cotto is not the same fighter ...he looked like **** against jennings and clottey and you ppl expected anything different from this fight...he is mentally scarred...he is scared of punches and seems to tire now after the 5th rd....he had a good run but he is finished...he has been finished since that beating from plasterito...he is gun shy and this boxing on his backfoot is not his style...he didnt put no pressure on last night and when he did he didnt shoot anything

Cotto last night definitely wasn't the Cotto pre margarito, however this is still a great win for Manny. After round 1 it seemed Cotto lost the gameplan and got caught up in trading with Manny, when cotto opened up he got hit with 3 punches before he knew it!
