He is 5-0. He fought a few months ago at a card in Hawaii I believe. He knocked the guy out. Hes actually quite good but I dont think hes taking MMA very seriously. Im not even sure if hes taking boxing very seriously. He did train with Rampage for awhile and Rampage said hes never been hit harder than when Williams hit him.
Quotes are for pussies. That's straight ripping thoughts from his mind like Professor X. That's how we roll. :smoke
Rampage trained with Williams and he said something along the lines of Williams knocking his mouthpiece down his throat. Said he hits harder than anybody hes sparred with at the time. And as far as the quote. It was in an article on sherdog about a year ago. They were talking about his preparation for his upcoming fight. It actually might have been prior to the Eastman fight.
williams was a lot smaller than i thought, he came into my restaurant right after the weigh ins before his last fight, i wished him luck, he was a cool dude...supposedly theres been mention of him fighting po'ai suganuma for the icon 205, we shall see if that pans out
Ambulance for whom? That one could go either way. If Williams was fifteen pounds heavier I'd favor him.
williams would kill him IMO. he isn't some bum off the street. that being said i'm hoping shamrock ends the kimbo train. not that i hate kimbo or anything, just feel he is way to overhyped.
Williams was a good puncher in boxing. He's a great puncher in MMA. After all the sparing and boxing he's done, I'll bet his chin problem pans out in the MMA format, as he's not fighting guys with the same sort of puncing power. Granted he needs to look out for kicks and such, but there arent too many guys in the world that can take a seriously clean kick to the head backed with malicious intent, and remain standing anyhow.
The only talent Kimbo has is a half decent standup. Williams beats him and beats him bad. Williams was an excellent boxer. The guy was just way to small for heavy. Dam shame 200lbs wasnt around in Williams prime otherwise he would have gone on to achieve great things.
The cruiserweight division has been around for 30 years. Williams used to fight at 178lbs as an amateur. He could have made light heavy when he turned pro, but elected to go for the bigger pay days against the big boys.
