He was already put on ice by Showtime after Wilder vs Fury 1 because Wilder’s camp was not happy with the things he was saying during the fight and after. To fire him they used an old interview where he described different boxing styles amongst different regions as an excuse.

 

He said blacks weren't oppressed anymore. Which apparently was a very, very naughty thing to say.

 

He said that all groups did well in boxing at different times and now mayo fighters were doing well specifically the eastern Europeans and well that pissed some people off.

I think that he let his personal baggage leak into his business life. That's not cool. I liked him as a person and commentator.
