James is 42 years old. I dont think he will be fighting much longer. But, James Toney is what a fighter should be. He fought frequently, had longevity and always brought it.

The guy was a master of fighting in the pocket, didnt have to back up. Stayed in and counter punched with clean effective shots. He has a chin of granite. Took punches from middle to heavy and was never KO'd. He is really the only throwback fighter we have right now, a living legend.

"Lights out" Toney is one of the most natural and skilled fighters i've ever seen. Unfortunately he was beaten by over consumption and lack of focus. It's a mark of his talent that he achieved all the things he achieved, even without the dedication.

I always say this, but Floyd Mayweather is basically a focused James Toney. Scary huh?

The only thing Toney lacked (when he was in shape, which wasn't very often) was footwork. Other than that, he is one of the most skilled and talented fighters ever

he needs to get into his once great shape.

beat up a few heavyweight "contenders". then pressure the k bros.

even an old past his best toney could still give klitschkos a tough night.

hes hard to hit, counters well, has a solid chin, and good power.
i give him a good shot at knocking wlad out.

toney v wlad would have been better than wlad vs chisora!

toneys a legend in the sport,a big name, and would have made klitschkos more money.

Floyd is James Toney with elite legs. Floyd's left hook is better though.
