Infact seems to me most of the Scots on here are backing Hatton, go read the main board if you dare and you will see plenty of Americans who claim to wise to the situation and are very critical of Hatton.

I dunno about backing anyone to the hilt, there's a point at which you shouldn't put up with any more. Be it a family member, friend, favourite sportsperson, hero.
Many ex-Hatton fans have hit that point, just read around.

I am one of them. I was an ardent Hatton fan from about 2003 and had been intrigued by him since I saw him on the Tyson undercard in 2000.

I bought into all the nice guy stuff, blamed Warren for letting his career stagnate in 2004, accepted that the reason he wasn't fighting Witter was because he didn't have a world title and had stank the place out against Judah his only high profile opponent and even brushed off the blatant ducking of Mayweather in 2005.

2007 was the year I woke up. The meaningless fight against Urango. The horribly cliched interviews. The contradictions. The new excuses for not fighting Witter. His horrible casual Man City football fans. The sudden desire to fight Mayweather without jeapordising his status and thus pulling power in any meaningful way(once he was at 147.)

Furthermore....his fights themselves are no longer as entertaining or exciting as they once were.

I woke up.

 

Just get over it. Most adults do.

 

I think everyone is agreed that they'd rather watch Hatton-Witter than Hatton-Lascano. The main bone of contention seems to be over whether Hatton should be allowed the easier Lazcano fight after the Mayweather loss or not.

After the discussion going round and round in circles for the last few days I reckon we'll all just have to agree to disagree and hope Hatton picks a better opponent after Lazcano?

 

Get over Hatton not fighting Witter?

I am somewhat dissappointed that the bout has not taken place nor is it likely to take place according to Hatton himself.

It could end up ranking alongside Bowe-Lewis, RJJ-Dariuz as fights that should have but never happened.

Ill get over it, but id rather not have to.

Anyone who does'nt complain about this fight not being made is not a boxing fan.

I know it pisses people off keep talking about htis fight, and i for one am sick of repeating myslef time and time again, but if you are a true fan of this sport you've gotta keep asking for this fight to be made.

We can't just accept what Team Hatton are doing.

Hatton has really pissed me off with his plan's of fightin two fight's in 2008 against Lazcano and Paulie.

On top of that he'll probably end up fighting a blown up flyweight in Pacquiao, and the tlalk of a rematch with Floyd is beyond a joke.

What has Lazcano done except for getting beaten by a guy 12 months ago who Witter just demolished?

Paulie was given a gift in his last fight and cna't punch.

Yes he coudl be a bad style match up for Hatton but there is no excitment in Paulies fight's because he can't crack an egg.

None of these guys' are intersting and dangerous match ups for Hatton.

On top of that the talk of Pacquiao and a Floyd rematch in 2009 is beyond ridiculous.

How can people justify any of these fights?

Junior Witter is 36-1-2 and holds the greatest belt in this sport bar the Ring Magazine title. Hh lost one fight against a prime Zab Judah yearss ago, which was only his 18th fight and he took it on a weeks notice.

He's got some good win's on his record, is one hell of a puncher, tough and an awkward guy to face. Plus he's BRITISH!

You people who complain about people ragging on Hatton have only one man to blame, and that's Hatton himself.
