What happened 2 Andres Aldama, the great Cuban amateur after the Olympics?

    Always thought Aldama would make a great pro;but never a word about him after his loss to Leonard for the Gold Medal.

    Don't know, m, but he sure was talented, and had sneaky fast hands and could punch.

    He won gold in Moscow. I think he beat Mugabi as an amateur also.

    I don't JG. Just the usual Cuban way I imagine- training younger fighters or hitting the bottle.

    He beat Mugabi in a controversial decision for the gold, was the last I heard. That was his second time in the olympics. Most folks that have seen the Mugabi fight thought he should've got the nod, but amateur championships are full of controversy when it comes to decisions.
