he fought toe-to-toe on purpose with maidana in their first fight because he knew he'd still be able to outbox him and win, while making the fans get excited, ive been saying it from the start. Maidana is a C or a B class fighter. Easiest cherrypick for Floyd, all he had to do was give maidana a few rounds the first fight so the idiotic fans demand a rematch, that's 2 easy fights for floyd and 2 easy pay days, and that's why he destroyed maidana in the rematch. Maidana won 2-3 rounds the first fight, and 0 rounds in the rematch. this is coming from a big Floyd Mayweather fan. The maidana fights were bull**** fights
You can't be a real Mayweather fan and consider the first fight, as brutal and competitive as it proved to be, a bull**** fight.
In what possible way was last night fighting toe to toe? He was running round like a ***** and holding every possible second.
"You can't be a real Mayweather fan and consider the first fight, as brutal and competitive as it proved to be, a bull**** fight." It was entertaining, but he fought like that on purpose just to get 2 easy pay checks without challenging himself and fight someone on his level. Do you think if he fought the first fight the same way he fought last night people would want a rematch? "In what possible way was last night fighting toe to toe? He was running round like a ***** and holding every possible second." he fought toe-to-toe on purpose with maidana in their first fight
You know what he should've did on purpose in their first fight??... KO Maidana, then we'd have something much more interesting to talk about.
Mayweather won relatively easy, after the first 6-7 rounds which were competitive, Maidana gassed a bit and Mayweather was in control of the fight, which is why Maidana bit him cause he was frustrated. I agree Mayweather cried a bit too much though which actually was in Maidana's favor because he got time to catch his breath. People say Mayweather looked bad and old which might be true, but honestly i also think Maidana is a bad stylistic match-up for him which might also be a factor.
i tough Floyd looked poor....i wanted him to prove he can punch on the move but he cant...he can punch or he can move but not both khan would have clowned maidana yesterday.
OP is full of it. Tell me this: Why ON EARTH would a defensive master fight toe-to-toe? It goes against everything to stand for!
Maidana was barely ranked in the top ten for the first fight. I think Mayweather underestimated him. He gave away many of the early rounds. He layed on the ropes hoping Chino would get tired. Last night he ran, held, elbowed, etc... he did everything he had to do to win but looked terrible in doing it.
