There were never any kind of expectations for Albert. He picked up the sport at the age of 20 and made it as far as he could.Him getting to title level is actually a success.
My take on Sosnowski. If it makes any sense i would say his record is and isnt padded.40-1 is always eye catching till you look at his competion. At the same time neither he nor his handlers or fans(not very many)pump him up to be something special. He started Boxing late in life (19-20 years old) and has basically learned his crft as he goes.Kind of like Chavez Jr he is picking up his amatuer experience in the ring against low quality opposition. I have seen him fight like 4-5 times including his 1 KO loss.He seems to get better and better each time i see him.For someone who started Boxing late he shows pretty good form and technique. I dont expect him to go any further than maybe a EU title shot but i also wouldnt be surprised if he ends up being the "opponent" in a title fight for one of the major 4 belts. Albert was, at one time, the future of the HW division. He had promise, hope, and skills reminiscent of a Joe Louis/Muhammad Ali hybrid. There's little doubt that, in an earlier (or even, perhaps later) era, he would have become a dominant, undefeated champion. But his ill fortune was born of sharing an era with Dr. Ironfist. In his unfortunate encounter with the big Ukranian, he was given such a barbaric beating, such a pugilistic pummelling, such a blatant battering that he never recovered his confidence, and has hence failed to live up to that rich potential. That's the tale in a nutshell. There may be other factors, but I'll just stick to the obvious for now. On a brighter note, he's still a helluva footballer !
