Anyone else notice how almost all of the Cruiserweights today are 6'2 or more? Back in the 80's, 90's and earlier 2000's we had guys like Qawi, Orlin Norris, Concrete Davis, Jean Marc Mormeck, Giacabbe Fragomeni, James Toney etc that were all well under six foot. I think Lebedev is around 5'11 but outside of him the Cruiserweight divison seems to be full of tall guys that fight at range and short on short guys that can fight on the inside.

Don't get me wrong, the Cruiserweight division has been extremely good the last few years but it's just an observation that I don't see a lot of stocky dudes anymore that fight in the higher weight classes.

You're also forgetting about Victor Emilio Ramirez, Thabiso Mchunu and Constantin Berjenaru. Probably more

Good call. I guess Arslan and Ramirez haven't officially retired and are somewhat relevant. I always thought Mchunu was taller but he is listed at 5'11. Actually all of the guys you mentioned are just under six foot. At this point, Mchunu is probably the only guy that is top ten level. I guess my point is it there seems to be a shift in body type in the division. Sure there are still some guys u der six foot but the majority are all tall lean dudes as opposed to the 5'8 muscle bound Sluggers/Bangers that use to be on ESPN all the time.

Yeah those days are gone. Garrett Wilson was fun but he was a journeyman and not a top fighter. Darnell Wilson was also pretty short and campaigned there briefly too. Although he's more known for his upset knockouts at HW.

Though this was at HW. But it was at CW. Huge height disparity here.

I forgot about Darnell. He was a fun fighter to watch. I kind of feel like with the way heavyweights like the Klitschko's, Fury, Joshua and Wilder have dominated at heavyweight recently we are now seeing guys that would have traditionally fought at heavyweight in years past cut weight to compete at 200. Briedis, Uysk, Gassiev definitely would have fought as full fledged heavyweights 20 years ago. I'm not convinced any of them could deal with the size of Fury. Uysk with his tremendous skillset clearly has the best chance to competitive.

Testitore cracked me up with that response. Can't say I blame him!
