What happened to Audley Harrison?

Well his first ABA was in 1993 when he was 21.. if he fought on shows before that I never heard about it.

 

Yeah he made quite impression on the circuit. I would never have picked him to win Olympic Gold, but he clearly had something about him.

 

Maybe you're right though.. there's about 10 fights unaccounted for on his 46-8 record ABA and up.

 

My Ol' man was an amateur trainer in the South East, so as a fan of the sport I got to see plenty of amateur shows, and you do not tend to forget the 6' 6" Super Heavyweights!

 

I think Bojado was just the youngest Mexican like Khan the youngest Brit though lol..

I think you are getting the youngest gold medalist and youngest boxing Olympian mixed up.

Bojado was younger than Randolph, but I suspect even he is not the youngest boxer to compete at an Olympics. You have to figure at least a 16 year old has competed in the past.

 

Yea swimmers and stuff.. but boxing I think it's 17.

 

Now maybe, but if we have had allegedly a nine year old fighting pro (Nipper Pat Daly), a 16 year old or maybe even a 15 year old fighting in the Olympics (in the past), does not seem that much of a push.

 

I think you're probably right.. Floyd Patterson was actually youngest gold medalist in boxing.

 

That other guy was 18.. I dunno why it says that on his wiki page.

 

Bojado = 17 years 4 months

Patterson = 17 years 6 months

Khan = 17 years 8 months
