Seems he fought a couple bums, struggled with them...I guess he's done at the top level, but still active?

I think he went up then a massive downfall because of lack of focus and promotion.

His struggled losses to Omar Nino brought him down. I met Brian in a club called Zanza Bar in Waikiki Hawaii. Its funny how small these guys are and you cant really tell on TV.

He's a handsome handsome kid -- very articulate -- with a smile that lights up a room, and a terrific sense of humor. At one weigh-in, he spoofed all the snarling lat-spread poses with way-over-the-top versions.

When he's right, Brian's damn impressive -- very fast hands, and KO power in both of'em.

For some strange reason, though he's an accurate puncher, when his opponent dips down, he doesn't do likewise, and his combinations are always to high. He can't seem to make the adjustment.

When he hangs'em-up, he could have a bright future as a color commentator.

The thing is he doesn't pull the trigger when he suppose to. I watched one of his fight, the opponent is just a few punch away after serious of combination him but he stopped and just went on jabbing and going on distance.

He has stamina, speed and KO power but doesn't know how to use on a right way. Which really waste his potential to be top contenders.

That's true about not pullin' the trigger, J. Brian puts on ear-muffs until his opponent stops throwing. He never throws over the top. Also, out of clinches, he always steps back and re-sets, leaving him outta punching room, forcing him to work his way back in.

Kind of expected that kind of a comment, Mt. Not his type; I'm 1200-years-old.

Well it looks like he had something that was too big to overcome. Same reason some guys can win a title, but not keep it.

All the best to him, you know? I hope he retires and does something great with his life.

He's definitely done at the top level. That's not even a question. The only question I have is will he know it.

 Everyone including myself thought this kid was done. Figured ge was destined to be another Rocky Juarez. Now he might because top 10 p4per and if not he's real close to one.

Glad he has finally got some fire. I was a huge fan before he won his first title then he turned to shitcand looked done. Back on the bandwagon and have been for a few fights now.

Went from a wasted talent to fulfilling it even more then was expected.

Was surprised myself on the new-found level of maturity, intensity, and toughness that Brian has atm. He lost me as a fan when he seemed to hold back and was unable to handle pressure (beginning with Romero 1), but now he is unbelievable! Coming out of that scary Rd 5 when Hernan was firing like mad on all cylinders alone--when ordinary mortals would have folded from the pressure, power, and sheer torrent of bad-intentioned rapid punches--and sneakily countering pinpoint short punches of his own made my jaw dropped to the floor, saying wtf, is this really Viloria that i was watching or was i dreaming?!

Pingo, Segura, Romero, HMarquez, Solis--few can **** on that resume. He just broke in to my personal top 10 p4p. Welcome back Hawaiian Punch [reloaded]!!! :happy:bbb:happy
