I think he has become gun shy after taking some losses and some beatings

maybe he doesnt train as hard as he used to

not quite sure but at times like that draw he had earlier this year and one or two rights vs Canelo he did throw the right like he used to and it had the same old snap. He just didnt continue to do it

I think its a case of he just never improved. Like Berto he always got by on a few physical and some technical traits but eventually the opposition got better and the results got worse

he probably second guesses himself now, thinks too much when he should just let them fly

Did I say because hes been knocked out 3 times he cant punch anymore ??

Read what I said you illiterate idiot.

Your thread is absolute shite, you cant compare a guy who is at the end of his career to the very start of his career.

Cintron is SHOT and if you cant see that you need to **** off and watch another sport because you dont know jack **** about boxing.

And another thing, dont argue with someone if your going to contradict yourself, you say after he was beaten by Margarito he hasnt been the same and doesnt fight with the same confidence.

Well that is the point that I was trying to make you absolute idiot,he hasnt been the same after his KO losses. Each loss has taken a great deal out of him mentally and physically his main attributes have dimished. The fact that you couldnt understand the point I was trying to make leads me to believe you are nothing more than a deluded casual who was caught out and cant take the fact that he doesnt know as much as he seems to think about boxing.

    :good

He has said that making 147 is no problem but I have to believe that making 147 with his frame, and at his age, has weakened him to some degree. It's one of those subtle things that goes unnoticed until a fighter really studies his performances. He may not even struggle making weight but his body may presently react differently to being at that particular weight than it did years ago. Trust me, it happens...

From what I saw he still throws well to the body. But alot of it is the fact he faced a guy who could take his best shots. He will be a gatekeeper for a while, but clearly he's lost his way and won't ever get the fire in the belly back. It's a shame he ran into Margocheato.

Everyone knows if you are not confident and if you are not in there mentally prepared, you are simply collecting a check. That is what I feel Cintron is doing currently, his heart and confidence is not in the sport anymore.

    they were weren't they.
One thing he doesn't do anymore is keep guys on the end of his punches.
He used to stop guys cause he'd get them with long shots, now he languishes
on the inside and mauls. He doesn't hit guys clean on the outside. He is a completely different fighter now.

Ummmmmm....how do you think he robbed Batista. The guy was garbage, throwing clubbing shots, lunging in, tieing up, and hitting behind the head.

Cintron was the faaaaaarrrrrrr better fighter last night. And I don't care WHO thinks that KD was illegit, it was the checkhook that sealed the deal.

Batista was lunging all night and never went down until he was countered appropriately.

If Cintron would have began the fight looking to land the short left hook, he wouldve gotten a legit KO win. But he thought he'd try to box at range and the Batista was easily able to slip the jab then lunge in with wide shots.

I gave Batista 3 rds. And I was being generous. Those 3 rds he won were given right back when he realized Cintron wasnt getting KOd and he started fouling. That ref shoulda DQD Batista before the KD. Hell, he shoulda DQD him when he punched the ref for breaking. He intentionally tried to push the ref outta the break by smacking his hand away.

Cintron is DONE. Your'e 100% right that he was overrated in 04. But he was the faaaarrrr better man last night. And was a professional until the 12th when Batista tried to turn it into a WWE match.:rofl:rofl:rofl
