What Happened to Dempsey in Flynn 1 ?

Tunney also added the caveat that he didn't know if he would have been able to survive Dempsey's onslaught had he gotten up earlier.

Dempsey was floundering and kicking on the press table he hit Kid McPartland, one of the judges in the eye they pushed him away in sheer self preservation.

Dempsey was beginning to get on top of Sharkey with his body attack imo."he hit me when I wasn't looking "Sharkey "well what the hell why ain't you looking? Was I supposed to send a postcard?"Dempsey Mendoza is a Dempsey hater ,similar to his notorious stand on Johnson, he will bend ,twist, alter, spin anything to make a negative concerning him.

 

How do YOU know how long he was out of the ring how do YOU know he was helped back into the ring?

Dempsey wasn't helped back into the ring.
NB Jeffries was against Johnson!

 

Because the reports say so, that's how I know. Dempsey landed on people and they helped push him back into the ring. Now, if you understand the rules, that is a DQ as a fighter knocked out of the ring must return under his own power without help.

As for the film, it's edited and its not the only Dempsey film that is edited.

Can someone tell me why there are so many excuses and smoke around Dempsey's career?

Was he out of the ring for more than 20 seconds vs Firpo, the film is edited!

Did he load his gloves vs Willard with something, not in his hand wraps?

Did he go low vs Sharkey to win ( Yes )?

Could Tunney have gotten up on a normal count ( I think so )

Did he throw the fight vs Flynn ( Highly doubtful )?

Did he fight Jack Johnson ( Highly doubtful )

Could he have fought Wills outside of the USA ( I think so )

Shut your pie hole. As stated there is smoke and controversy around Jack Demsey's career. I don't makeup what happened.

I am not a huge Dempsey fan, but I have never felt that the Firpo knockdown was legit. It has always looked like a push out of the ring rather than an actual punch. So based on that, it doesn't matter to me if he was helped back in, because it shouldn't have been ruled a knockdown regardless.
