He is in a similar situation as Hrgovic, he will hardly get another chance...

The same thing that happened to other Cuban heavies - they underachieve.

For starters, he carries too much weight, which i suspect is what caused his injury vs Kabayel. Kabayel brutalized him with hard body shots and that kind of a beating while being injured is going to be demoralizing.

You have to be very mentally tough to come back from that. I hope he can but i doubt he does.

He was never that good - the combination of featherfists and a lack of durability is never a recipe for success in boxing's flagship division.

Was skilled, if not particularly gifted as far as power and chin goes, and then tried to turn more Mexican with Reynoso, which made him look somewhat confused against B-class opposition. Kabayel was a more well-developed, stylistic nightmare with actual punch and chin, and Sanchez took him on with a knee injury (would have likely lost anyway) and took a break due to surgery.

Waiting for him to comeback, but is likely older than advertised, so you never know how much is left in him.

With numerous good fighters like Hrgovic or Joyce needing a comeback bout, he can't complain on lack of possible opposition. Guido Vianello would be a good target as well.

I do not want to be a lawyer for Frank, but he was definitely injured in fight against Kabayel. He had an injured knee with bandage and he was not his normal "feel". He should not have go into that match probably.

I hope he will get a chance on another US Rijaad season card.

2 conclusions. Kabayel still needs to prove himself more and Sanchez deserves another chance, but maybe will not get lucky.

Sanchez vs. Dave Allen would be a great comeback fight...

Never saw what some saw in him. I predicted he would beat Ajagba but he never looked like a top fighter to me. Yes he had solid fundamentals and fast hands which many seem to equate as being skilled but he had clear holes in his game.

His foot work for one, that super wide stance is fine when you have opponent who just stands there but when they move or press as we saw vs Kayabel then that wide stance becomes a huge weakness.

He lacked variety to me, relied far too much on the jab and right hand, that made him predictable. He was good at what he did well but to get to that next level you need a more complete skillset as someone like Kabayel has shown.

Exactly what I said would happened, he got his ass walked down by Kabayel and stopped. Because he has minimal power and his skill set was overrated, especially when in with somebody who can cut the ring off well. He lucked out thus far in his career by being matched well, and kept away from bad styles. From here on out, things will probably be dire, while most don't cut the ring off as well as Agit, they cut it off well enough and have more power. So the likes of Bakole, Hrgovic and Wardley walk right through his ass.
