Damn man I wouldn't favor Caballero over any of the top bantamweights out there. He's just too akward and hittable 4 my taste. I have a feeling that guys like Vazquez, Lopez, Marquez, and even Jhonny Gonzales could all KO his ass by the middle rounds. I'm just that unimpressed with the guy.

 He's not running from anybody fool. Vazquez hasn't even fought anyone since JuanMa broke through as a star with his win over Daniel Ponce De Leon, so I don't know how you can say Vazquez is ducking him? For all you know Izzy could fight the guy in his very next fight.

"He is the current Ring Super Bantamweight (Junior Featherweight) champion (122 lbs) after being stripped of his WBC Super Bantamweight championship for being inactive after a retina surgery." - Wikipedia.

For all I know Vazquez haven't mentioned him very much, and when he was asked about Lopez , the only thing he said was that Lopez wasn't at his level yet, yeah right, good one,who else on that weight?? No , but wait, then he toppeed it off with a classic:" I might be moving up in weight soon"...Don't worry, as I stated before: u can run, but u cant hide. Then again, you can ala PBF style.:p

Don' know what interviews you've heard of with Izzy, but I've heard him mention Lopez quite a few times before.... and Vazquez might be right that Lopez isn't on his level yet. The guy is largely untested. Maybe another win over a top 10 fighter might solidify his chances of landing a fight, because afterall, Vazquez is the champ here, not Lopez. He can choose and pick whoever he wants to fight.

Besides, Izzy has plenty of guys he could fight out there; Rafa for a 4th time, a rematch with Jhonny Gonzales, coax Darchinyan into moving up, a fight versus long time titleholder Celestino Caballero.... all more established opponents than Lopez. Or he could move up in weight and try and conquer another weight division. So don't act as if he's running from JuanMa as if he's his only option out there.

I think this is the fight that should happen next if Vazquez is still unable to fight by summer or early fall.

I would love to see it but i doubt Lopez and his handlers are willing to risk it against a such high risk/ low reward Caballero.. He never mentions caballero's name in any interview which makes me believe he's trying to duck him.. BUsiness wise i understand but if lopez really wants a crack at the top guys, he needs to pay his dues and face someone like Caballero first..

Juanma will stop Vasquez...sorry, but Vasquez gets hit way too much to survive another battle.

Caballero is probably the worst of the best. He punches like an amatuer and lopez would eat him up. Caballero's punches are just too wide.

My guess it that he has been inactive for a year. So the sanctioning bodies have the right to strip the boxer of their belt after not defending it for a year.

It will not surprise me either if Ring Mag also strips him of the championship belt and declares it vacant.

I feel for Izzy but its really been a year and no matter the cause he has to be stripped, its just the way it is.

Sure, but they were NOT Juanma though, and that , my friend, is where the detail lies.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... well, in a calmed f...ing down kind of way I can tell you Juanma did not only beat Deleon, but he did it in an obliterating fashion like nobody had before and nobody will ever do again, YEP that includes Vazquez and Marquez, who BTw, I don't know who have they fought, EVER, except each other... just a friendly reminder, Vazquez have been stopped b4 in the 1st rd, although a long time ago, it could happen again:hey...
Thee more I think about it the more I get convinced Vazquez would probably do the right thing by fighting Caballero first. He may not even pass that test, he'll probably want to test the waters first. Juanma's power is not a joke, and Izzy may not have what it takes to take it for a full 12 rds.:hi:
