I don't know I'm not sure . . . but the last thing I heard is he suffered a detached retina in his last fight and WBC has declared him "champion emeritus" because he can't defend the title for a long period of time.

of which Lopez smiled and verbally accepted...then the article went
on to say that Vasquez will be out of action for some time due to

Vasquez has had a detached retina, but what I'm even more curious about is what has happened to Rafael Marquez - He really seems to have evaporated...

 

Some of you have absolutely NO class whatsoever.

 

From what I've heard they don't seem to be looking for the fight right now, they're definitely more interested in the Vazquez fight. But I think Lopez vs Caballero makes perfect sense legacy wise. Currently I'd pick Juanma over Caballero, but I would like to see him put some hands on him before being so sure he would beat him.
