I don't know I'm not sure . . . but the last thing I heard is he suffered a detached retina in his last fight and WBC has declared him "champion emeritus" because he can't defend the title for a long period of time. . . . again I'm not sure if this is correct.
izzy is not a 122 pounder anymore...and if lopez would move up, he won't fight izzy right away..he would get a belt first in order to demand higher payday
You are right....I heard the same thing....about the time when he approached Lopez at an event, he challenged Lopez to a match up of which Lopez smiled and verbally accepted...then the article went on to say that Vasquez will be out of action for some time due to an eye operation.
Nothing to be sorry about...you are simply stating an educated fact. Lopez will square Vasquez anytime of the day.....he will eat leather and wake up tasting leather......ouch!!!!
What are you saying? That Lopez has to be on the edge of being punch drunk to prove himself? Didn't you say the same thing before Lopez took De Leon to task?
Vasquez has had a detached retina, but what I'm even more curious about is what has happened to Rafael Marquez - He really seems to have evaporated...
From what I've heard they don't seem to be looking for the fight right now, they're definitely more interested in the Vazquez fight. But I think Lopez vs Caballero makes perfect sense legacy wise. Currently I'd pick Juanma over Caballero, but I would like to see him put some hands on him before being so sure he would beat him.
