What happened to JMM's power?

What happened is boxing. He fought a guy who never allowed him to counter at will and forced him to fight aggressive. Marquez is not a good aggressive fighter, he's a counter puncher by nature. That said, Marquez was never a power puncher to begin with. Scoring a one punch KO against a reckless overly aggressive wide open Pacquiao doesn't make him a KO artist overnight. Sadly, not many have the knowledge to see through such things even if they happened over and over in the sport.

 

This lol. If you put all your bodyweight behind your head and I hold my hand out with a glove on it and you dive into it chin first I bet it would hurt.

true, but there are many points in the argument against Marquez that you cannot say about every top fighter. Not saying he is for sure though.

 

Bradley generally does a very good job of rolling with the punches, which is the same reason he avoided getting significantly hurt against Pacquiao, yet when Bradley fought a more aggressive fight, avoiding to roll with punches, he was concussed severely against Provodnikov.

Bradley avoided standing in front of Juan like a zombie much like previous opponents.

Great win for Bradley, It wasn't as pleasing as a KO/TKO but it was effective.
If you can't out hustle Desert Storm then you have some probs on the cards.

I've posted this a few times but I'll share it again. Shortly before the KO of Pac by JMM I saw an interview with Victor Conte the owner of the infamous BALCO. They were talking about roids in baseball when "out of the blue" Conte says "...and that boxer, Juan Manuel Marquez, he's on the juice and can stay one step ahead of the testing".

I see no gain for Victor Conte to say this.

Bradley has an iron chin, even if marquez was landing bombs it would take something special to drop him. bradley is a better boxer than pacqiuo, skill wise. he has better defence and is less likely to get hit with massive counters. marquez was tailor-made for pac's style. marquez has trouble against smarter fighters like Bradley, Chris john and Money

Marquez KO punch of Pac was not that kind punch that would knock you out. He knocked out Pac because Pac was so fast that his face landed into JMMs fist w/c made it devastating. Yeah, speed kills. Lol! 50% of the impact was from Pac.
Tim was just a bad match up for JMM.
