IT's too bad what happened to him... He looked promising until he ran into Monte Barrett and showed *****ks in his armor.. Then he fought Jirov on the undercard of MOsley/Winky 1 and was cruising to a victory until jirov caught up to him in the later rounds.. Ive rarely seen a fighter who looked that great for the most of the fight and ended up getting busted up in the final rounds..

He's got into Politics the last i heard.. And it's prolly a good thing cuz he always struck me as a smart guy.. very articulate..

He'd do alot better in Politics than Pacquiao, I know that.. At least he's smart.

it is better that Jirov got to him because remember at the time he was the WBC #1 contender for Vitali Klitschko. That would have been a one sided beating.

Maybe it's just me, but I remember the Mesi-Jirov fight much being closer than you guys did.

Joe Mesi is a Democrat, and after the Demo-Rats do a number on our country/s we wont be seeing demo-rats for awhile i think.. Even the europeans feel obama is too socialistic, and stateocratic,,

    Long live Daniel Hannan!

I agree, Joe schooled Mesi the first 3/4'sof the fight. But he had to hold on for dear life at the end of it. I liked Joe, but lets not kid ourselves, either Klit would murder him.

Not a bad career when you can retire undefeated, too bad his comeback didn't panout. Maybe he's eating cheeseburgers with Toney and Peter.

Indeed. He's heading in the right direction, for the vast majority of us.

The hype around that guy was un-****ing real..I know that WE Americans always give the European posters here sh*t about over hyping fighters but **** we hyped the sh*t out of this guy who did NOTHING in the ring..

As far as what happened to him..Maybe someone finally got it thought his thick skull that fighting with that brain injury wasnt very bright.

Hmm after I started this post, I thought about it and looked around abit and found that Mesi is having a hard getting licensed..Only a handful or weak commission states will give him a license, which means that the networks and promoters arent going to be interested in him as a fighter..He is pretty much done.

Mesi beat the **** out of Jirov. I liked both fighters to.

Mesi won 7 rounds clearly. I don't think he won 8 or 6.

The fight was close only because the KD's. If people think otherwise they did not see the fight.
