We'll see how shot he is. Calzaghe is not an old chubby Trinidad. He could slap like a demon out of hell.

Thats not what you said before the fight. Besides hopkins is still very good despite his age, he is like a fox in the ring. He beat Antonio Tarver from pillar to post despite his advanced age, he beat Winky Wright but he just couldnt beat Joe C and lets face it the SD is not a good indication, it was a clear 9-3 JC

Again, everyone has their own definition of being shot. Of course he is not the same fighter of old, but he can still fight and win without his cape. He will beat Joe. You still would watch his fights even though you say he is shot. You can't be great forever and how the hypicrites pop up as soon as you lose one or two fights. He is older and has been forced to go a new direction with better defense. When he beats Joe and if somehow he can beat someone like Dawson, then what? He is unshot. I did not make this word up, someone else did.

How are you going to tell me what I said? Hopkins is 43, it doesn't take a genius to be able to see that he's old. Sorry, it was not a a clear 9-3 for Calzaghe. He was the more active fighter, but Hopkins was landing the cleaner shots. I have no problem with the decison, but a clear 9-3 for Calzaghe is in stark contrast to what actually happened. Regadless, the fight is over and Calzaghe has turned his attention to another 40+ year old fighter,

Exactly. It's not that Roy isn't anymore shot now than he was two years ago (because he is) it's that he's still remained a name, is a ticket seller and is an easy fight for Calzaghe.

Jones is the same guy he was when Glenn Johnson KO'd him. A win over a game but overmatched Trinidad changes nothing.

Just because he is fighting the top guy doesnt mean he is any good anymore. That much will be evident when the fight happens.

Who the **** has RJJ fought other than a retired bloated Trinidad that was just for the money.

Holmes fought Tyson that didnt mean that Holmes was still in top form just because he was fighting the top dog.

All respect to jones... hes doing his thing, this is their life and how they make their money, to me Roy is no longer a factor in anything so who he fights i couldnt care less....

but he showed me all i needed to see about where his heart is at in the third tarver fight... he can dance and be gay in the ring all he wants but when the fight was on the line, there for him to take, he said himself he survived to come back another day... and that was against TARVER... his NEMESIS...

I dont think Jones is as SHOT as people think... he still has a lot speed and power wise... his legs are a bit faded but hes hardly SHOT physically.. you want to see shot theres tons of other fighters to put there, not roy jones jr...

he just doesnt have the spirit to sustain success once his superhuman abilites started becoming a little more human... but if people are realistic, in this fight he is still the faster, more powerful guy... but just who he is inside, he will lose.

Jones isn't on a Chris Byrd level of shot but he's definitely a faded fighter whose lost his best qualities (reflexes are almost gone, speed is down etc). I don't think Roy can beat Joe....but then again this IS RJJ.

If he wins, It'd cap off arguably the YEAR of the upsets.

    Jones is not shot.
This fight is a great move by Calzaghe. He will earn the most of his career and could have a win over the biggest name in his farewell fight. Perfect scenario.
It should be a very interesting match with Calzaghe taking the lead in the early and Jones coming on in the middle rounds. The fight will be won in the latter part of the bout.

They were right He is shot. Calzaghe himself called Jones a "Washed up old fighter" in an interview before the Hopkins fight. Now the $$$ signs are flashed he suddenly becomes a legit opponent. This is just another con job like Jones-Tito was. Dont hurt me I wont hurt you and we'll both have a big paycheck to deposit :cus
