What happened to Kirkland in Prison, from taking bombs from J Julio to KO by Ishida ?

I think 2 things happened with Kirkland that didn't necessarily have much to do with his Prison stint (besides the ring rust).

1. Kirkland was weight drained a bit. His official weight was 158 but he came into the ring at 173. So he rehydrated 15 pounds which is not healthy, and a sign that he may have weakened himself making the weight.

2. He was caught cold. He hadn't even broken a sweat when the fight started, and then immediately started running into straight right hands.

Bottom line: Ishida came ready to fight, Kirkland....not so much.

 

It's because of the tsunami tragedy in Japan.

Ishida was never to be denied and was motivated to kick his ass no matter what and if Kirkland was to beat Ichida, Ichida was probably thinking you have to kill me to beat me because your punches can't hurt or break my will down because the tragedy in Japan already did.

Kirkland ****ed with the wrong dude. Nothing more and nothing less.

Ishida was brought in their to be a jobber and make Kirkland look good and instead whipped the floor with that convicted felon.

Kirkland and his fans can make all the excuses they want.

Kirkland better hope him and Ishida never end up in jail together, some one will end up being a woman.....................and it wont be Ishida.

Well, for starters the first two knockdowns were mere slips. He wasn't fazed at all by the feather fisted Jet Li. Secondly, the third knockdown was more James being off balance and his feet getting tangled with the Jap's. Lastly, cancer patient looking Cortes held James down and called it off prematurely. It was evident he was getting up. James was NOT hurt in any shape or fashion. If I was James' management team I would pursue a lawsuit.

I just watched the fight on youtube and they were clean shots to the chin. first KD kirkland came rushing in and got caught plain and simple, second KD ishida got in dat ass and put him down. the third KD was a well timed one-two that put kirkland down. The bottom line your boy kirkland did not respect ishida and got his ass wooped
imo i thought it was smart for cortez to stop the fight, kirkland got dropped 3 times and looked out of it.

I dont blame ANY ref for stopping a fight after a guy has hit the canvas 3 times. If you dont want the fight stopped then stay on your Friggin feet.......Simple!

 

Bull**** stoppage but those all looked to be legit knockdowns. Quite sure I've seen Kirkland take bigger shots than those, not sure what happened.
