OK, didn't know that I thought he was based in the US as all his fights since 2009 sans one (Dawejko which was in Russia) have been in the US
Wasn't a "KO" loss like you're thinking. He landed awkwardly on his ankle in what would have otherwise been a flash knockdown from the look of things. He had to be stretchered out of the ring, so the layoff was likely him recuperating from the injury.
I was surprised to see him lose to Fedosov but apparently he injured his ankle? He's a talented guy and has a style that would translate well to the pros but I think time will likely pass him by.
Did he fight this past weekend? Majidov was looking good in his recovery, but then vanished again, just waisted another year he didnt have. I still wanna see him give a good push to get in the mix. Hes got the talent and maybe 4-5 competitive years. Just look at Joyce, Chisora, Zhang, Ortiz out there.
Yeah but, as said, I assumed, probably wrongly, that he was based in the US because all bar one of his fights since 2009 have been in the US
Wonder if this dude will ever lace them up again. I had almost forgot about him until I stumbled onto a reel of him and Anthony Joshua fighting, in the amateurs, he was putting a pretty good Whooping on AJ in spots. And won the Decision.
Awesome, thank you for the update sir. I’ll give this a watch soon as I can. Did he look decent or has the age caught up with him?
