If HBO is searching for a young American heavyweight, the best prospect may be Seth Mitchell, a 27 year old who is ranked 61 by boxrec.
However, he has no impressive victories, and just went eight rounds with Zack Page, winning a close UD.

Then there's Travis Kauffman, but, well, nevermind...

Maybe HBO can show Deontey Wilder some time.

Look at Calvin Brock. They'll hype these guys up and as soon as they fight a Klit 99% of the time they get beaten. I say get these young cats in the cruiser division and make great fights there and longer careers. Yes there's nothing like HVY money but ya can't be promised longetivity with the Klits in the same division.

Todays heavyweight pickings are pretty slim. HBO could have "The night of the pudgy Russians", or "The night of the unmotivated and undertrained", even "The night of the careful heavyweights".
Better just to concentrate on the lighter weights.
