What happened to Peter's punch tolerance from Wlad to McCline

I wonder why. (Hugger.)

 

It could be the fact that almost every straight right that landed from Wlad hit Peter on his big ass forehead Instead of his chin. Sam did a real good job of keeping his head down in that fight until the left hook got him.

 

This is perhaps the funniest thing that's been said on ESB in 2008. Thank you for that!

 

i remember a post fight interview where Steward says that he didnt want Wlad to go full force with his shots cause doing so would cause him to lean too far forward and possibly be countered with something big. So maybe thats why but there where some parts of the fight where Wlad delivered some real goodies and Peter ate them up...maybe if he put more power into more of his shots..who knows...

Peter's chin does seem to be worse than before Wlad's fight. Getting hurt is coming in greater numbers these days.

Peter needs to beat VitKlitschko if we ever want to see a Wlad-Peter rematch.

But, I dont see how Peter can win his fight against VitKlitschko. Ive pondered this for days, and I dont see a way. Vits just too big, peter too short. I even think Vit is the hungrier fighter! I think he really wants to make history with his brother.

Unless, Vit has declined far in four years, Peter cant win. Sorry, Peter fans. Peter needs to pray for rust and age.

 

Peter just took too much punishment from the biggest puncher in the division that night, I always thought how he will recover from that and now it seems slightly obvious till we see more fights. The Vitali fight will prove a lot, if Peter is hurt bad early then he won't be winning that fight.

You just can't take punches like that from a huge puncher and expect to come back the same afrer it, some fighters can and some can't. The McCline fight already answered a lot of questions regarding that and the Vitali fight could answer more.

I take the McCline fight with a grain of salt. If not for the ruptured eardrum Peter would have not went down in the fight

 

As a fan of Peter I'm really hoping that's the case.

I will forever have mad respect for Peter for that fight.

Very, very few heavyweights in the history could have eaten all those bombs and not go down.

I am just afraid he will never be the same.
