Million dollar body, 10 cent brain.

I watched Tyson-Ruddock II earlier this evening...man, Ruddock was all heart. Battered, bleeding, jaw fractured, he took a ton of punishment, but came back fighting like a lion. He really hit Tyson with some bombs late in the fight, even after absorbing huge abuse, especially to the body.

If he had ever learned how to actually fight (ie. use his jab and his right hand) he could have done much, much more in his career. He had all the physical gifts one could ever want, but he fought like a goddamn fool too many times, and it cost him. Even in fights he won, like the Page fight, he could have made that fight much easier on himself.

Still, I'm a big fan. But he should stay retired.

:good Agree with all of that.

Now, he should not come back. In 2010, with a chance to deflower Pajkic? :think That could have been something.

They must have taken down the footage of him training for the comeback, because I can't find it anymore. But here is the surviving footage of his comeback announcement.

Early in his career Ruddock was a jabbing and boxing machine. Watch his fight with Carlos Hernandez (You Tube).

Later in his career he discovered he had power. Oddly he never seemed to try to combine his boxing skills with slugging power, he just abandoned his boxing skills.

Hence the 10 cent brain remark makes a lot of sense.

His jab was fantastic early on. Too bad he abandoned it.
