Could you fresh my memory if you don't mind? I think the gist of it was he said ESB needed funding to save the site, and offered people T-Shirts for $150 each. He was up around 3K, then took the funds and dipped . He and another poster took the money to buy coke. The poster (I think it was Danger? ) bought the coke all right, but kept it for himself

Been a lot of other incidents such as gabbygate, and Charlie Z (which I completely forgot, what even happened maybe @salsanchezfan could refresh my memory)

That's how I remember it as well. The shirts weren't THAT expensive though, I'd never have paid that much. There are limits to even MY idiocy.

He was a Mod too, which made the whole thing just surreal.

I don’t remember that if I was around. I didn’t pay too much attention to who was who in my earlier days. I also posted more on the regular forum, but that’s gotten to be a real pit of misery for the most part.

This place is generally civil and a lot of good discussion can be had. I’ve learned so much from all of you, including ones I don’t necessarily like or get along with. And yeah we’ve got a few knuckleheads but I can live with that.

Well Gabbygate I knew only some about. The gist of it was there was a poster named Gabby who used a pic of a beautiful but demure-looking blonde in her avatar. All the guys were mad for her but tried to play it cool at the same time. Except for one really seriously funny guy named Icemann who just kept chasing her around the forum asking her to show us her boobs.

There was some question as to whether or not she was an alt but I didn't follow that one close enough to ever really know how that ended up.

God, there was some funny, funny stuff here back in the day.
