What Happened To Rico Hoye?

I think Clinton Woods should get more credit than he gets for the Hoye fight.Even the English press made Woods an underdog for the fight then he got very little kudos for winning easily.He is no ATG but would be a very hard fight for anyone at LH.

 

Yeah I thought it would be a harder fight for Clinton, he absolutely towled Hoye.
I did pick him though, I knew he was a better fighter.

Thing is about Clinton is he looks beatable, there is nothing overly special about him when you watch him fight most of the time. He has had some times when fought to level of his opposition but when he turns it on he is a very good fighter.

I really admired his performance against Roy because he truly came to win. A lot of guys who have fought Roy, get shellshocked by Roy's speed then just go through the motions the entire fight, which Roy is happy to do also. Thats why Roy had several fights go the distance that werent expected to, he likes to coast and clown. But Woods went for the win, and never let up even when he was soaking up massive shots just before the towel. He could have probably went the rounds if he just went there to survive but he went for it and forced Roy to put on a good performance, one his last true prime wins.
