He got KOd bad when he was 35 after decades of boxing in the pros and amatuers, plus the weight loss. He wasnt going to come back from the Tarver KO the same. Anyone would have had the same fate. The short is he got old.
Thats not entirely true, more of a misconception than anything. He HAD learned proper fundementals. He used them more early on in his career, especially in the amatuers. Over time winning came so easy for him that he got bored and started getting more creative in the ring. That is when he really got away from the fundementals. He was too good for his own good in a sense.
