There used to be a lot of talk about them and it has died down. What have they been up to? Any meaningful fights planned?
well according to boxrec Lamont fought last month for the vacant NABF title and won....didn't see it though, not even sure if it was televised and Anthony hasn't fought in a few months, but i think i saw his last fight, and umm....if i remmeber correctly he's a top 10 contender for the title that Manny vacated at lightweight, along with Valero and Prescott so he should have some good fights coming up soon but as for signed fights, i dont think they have any coming up
yeah he's a class act. strong, rangy, hurtful, tough. deffo a top lightweight. just needs the chance to prove it. :bbb
The Peterson Brothers realised that they stand no chance against the top of the division(Ricky Hatton) so they did the intelligent thing and retired as they would be reduced to journeymen once they cracked the top 5.
I believe that both brothers have indeed already cracked to top 5. Anthony-lightweight WBC #3, IBF #4, WBO #4.....Lamont-Jr Welter WBC #13, WBA #4, WBO #4
They've still got title potential, it's just been quiet as they haven't gotten the big matchups yet to show it and so some of the hype's been toned down. I'm waiting patiently until they get their opportunity for a belt, and I'm sure I'm not he only one.
This slow burn with prospects can backfire Two talented guys, people are sick of them fighting muppets, seen that already they need to step it up into the big time and show how good they really are with great risk comes great reward
Big fan of both guys , I really hope they go somewhere they are deffo my favourite up and comers. and yeah as Big Reg said Anthony would do Khan serious harm , might take a round or two to catch him but catch him he would !
