Last time I heard, they were fighting at 154, but no venue or date. They were supposed to fight in April, but there's been no announcement.
Apparently, it's still in the works, but Thurman has only fought a couple of times over the last four years. Such inactivity wouldn't allow him to be ready for a PPV fight in a matter of weeks, so I'm really doubting this one will get made for next month, if it gets made at all.
Spence hasn't fought in nearly a year. He's getting up there in age and he needs to keep busy. He fought once in the last 2 years.
Spence has a reconstructed skull and eye, and he was always a guy who needed to feel a punch to get in the flow. He's pretending like he's still an active fighter to milk as much as possible out of these last few fights but the idea that he's gonna be the guy he was against Porter just isn't realistic.

These new fighters have no real...I honestly can't think of a word to write, they just suck right now. Plus, I always favored Crawford to beat him because of his shaky chin before the car crash. I think that they floated that fight on the assumption that Davis v Garcia was going to fall through. When they became more certain of Davis v Garcia, there was no need for Thurman v Spence.
