Fought a bunch of cans built up a good KO record then lost the two last fights I saw him in. The most recent one was against Dirrell in which he was brutalized.

He got knocked to pseudo gatekeeper status by Andre Dirrell.

Some people say that a matchmaker should hook him up with another punching bag but chances are you're either going to wind up getting someone a class above him which would lead to a blow out or someone so below him that you're going to get a bum fights esque scenario.

Zero boxing skill, another flash in the pan.
Should change his ring name to 'The Destroyed'.

Zuniga pounded his ass from pillar to post long before Dirrell got to him. Victor cried and complained about the stoppage against Dirrell, but he never mumbled a ****ing word when Zuniga put his lights out.

They mismanaged the guy from the start. He's not a championship fighter but they could have done a better job with him as far as directing his career. Personally, I would have padded his record to something like 30-0 and kept the knockout % at 100. This way, there's some type of mystique regardless of the opposition and he could have became a mandatory based on activity alone. Only then, when faced with a champion, would Oganov be exposed but at least he'd have gotten paid and there would have been more intrigue leading up to the fight. Instead, they matched him with the workhorse hardman Zuniga and ruined everything. Even worse, they then threw him in with Dirrell, a stylistic nightmare for such a one-dimensional fighter like Oganov. Promoters and managers know what they have in their hands. It's up to them to maximize the earning ability of their fighter based on what they know. In this case, Oganov was always gonna fail at the top level so why not keep him fighting stiffs and padding that record until he got a crack at someone's belt? Now the secret's out and Oganov picked up 2 checks from showtime that really can't be too much after taxes.

i agree they could have managed him better before throwing him into the wolves, especially after the Zuniga fight, they should have learned that he wasn't an A level fighter and sought fights more appropriate.
