Well you need to watch the fight again and understand that when a man who weighs 241, lands clean power shots including combinations, it is going to hurt.

Ortiz run out of steam indeed, no question, but Wilder had to have the nous to drag him into the later rounds and this man had never been dropped.

He always had a good chin, but any chin can crack if it gets hit too often.

Would Wilder have landed the initial punch that Wlad did, though? I don't believe he would have. There's not a person on the planet who would stand up to punishment from Wilder - he's just so inexplicably poor in other areas of his game.

One thing is obvious - Wilder is so badly afraid from counter punches, and you saw what happen'd when Wlad got counter punched. He is a 1 shot KO awaiting , props to Wilder for the power and the heart but he has bad boxing skills.

It's still there. Old man just couldn't take advantage of those fragile whiskers. Things are tough when you're 48 and on high blood pressure meds!

    Ok we get it now.

You don't like Wilder and you don't know very much about boxing and can't even articulate your points without petty insults because someone else isn't joining in with hating Wilder.

Now get the hell out of my thread, instead of polluting it with garbage.

The haters waiting for Wilders chin to crack are like the Trump haters that kept waiting for his campaign to fall to pieces.

Well heres the hot tip..Trump will still be president after 2020 and Wilder will still be undisputed champ.

I agree he lacks fundamental boxing skills, however the amount of power he delivers in his punches, is so much that he actually doesn't need great boxing skills.

And let's be honest, we don't watch heavyweight boxing to see fighters give boxing lessons, we tune in to see knockouts and Wilder never fails to deliver in that respect.

What people fail to take into account, is how crafty, awkward as a southpaw Ortiz is, that Wilder had little choice but to adopt a safety first approach.

Look how Wlad was against Fury, because of how awkward and unorthodox he was in the ring. It took him until the 10th get the range right and have confidence to start throwing caution to the wind.

    1. So being 241lb's now makes you a massive puncher? That's why Fury knocks everyone out huh?
    2. 'Wilder had to have the nous to drag him into the later rounds' - Or, he was gifted near enough 20 seconds at the start of Rd8 to regather himself. The only person dragged into the end of the fight was Wilder.
