Pure ignorance. I have seen Vlad take some huge punches years ago. Nothing wrong with his chin. Lewis was knocked out cold by Rahman and TKO'd by McCall. I guess he has glass chin, same with Joe Louis, Holmes, Spinks, Tyson, etc.

SOUR GRAPES!!!!!!! Yes, sour grapes because Klitschkos keep beating up your heroes. I KNOW THE "REAL REASON" SOME HATE KLITSCHKOS...............

I agree with all them being glass jawed.

But the Klitschko's didn't beat my heroes the only boxer I gave a **** about who either Klitschko faced was Lewis.

And who won- Quitali or Lewis? WHO????????????

Lewis retired rather than fight Vitali again. He had a very badly broken nose, which many don't even know about. Lewis was ready to go. Even Max Kellerman said that he had never seen Lewis flop down on his stool like that. Vitali only needed one more round to stop Lewis. Vitali staggered Lewis, but Lewis could not stagger Vitali. Vitali had the stamina to go 12 hard rounds, Lewis did not. Angelo Dundee said that Vitali was cheated out of the WBC title that night. Lewis' promoter signaled Lewis' doctor to signal Lewis' referee to stop the fight, otherwise Lewis would have been knocked out. Lewis retired rather than make the biggest payday of his entire career. Mercer beat the crap out of Lewis, only to lose by split decision. Mavrovich beat the crap out of Lewis, at little guy like that. Lewis was boring when he fought Tua.

Fact is that Lewis retired rather than fight Vitali. Vitali was winning the fight on the cards and would have stopped Lewis. Why do you think Lewis retired? Why do you think Lewis did not fight Vitali for his biggest payday? Fact is, Vitali and Vlad keep beating up all your heroes and you can't stand it. SOUR GRAPES!!!!!!! If Lewis is so good, then he can come out of retirement and fight Vitali now. Vitali has offered his huge dollars for years, but Lewis is afraid. Rahaman knocked Lewis out cold and McCall TKO'd him. Not to mention that Lewis got a gift split decision over Mercer, who beat the crap out of him. Mavrovich did the same and he was little. Lewis held on to Tua in their dance.............

Wlad just punched himself out, it's clear to see. He threw a hell of a lot of punches in that fight and a lot of them power punches. He never took a rest in that fight if he wasn't punching he was mauling and pushing Brewster on the inside always doing something to wear himself out.

If Wlad was afflicted by anything it didn't seem to effect his performance in the early rounds because he was putting a serious beat down on Brewster, many other less durable fighters would have gotten stopped.

Watch Wlad in the rematch and his fights now he fights in a much more composed way. He no longer sets a pace even Vitali would struggle to maintain and doesn't throw 4-5-6 power punch combos like he did in the first Brewster fight. He jabs, he rarely throws a combination of 3 or more punches usually it's just a 2 punch combo. He knows his physical limitations now.

Can anyone explain the huge shift in odds like 2 days and the day before the Fight? Does anyone actually think there was that big of a contingent of Brewster fans and supporters out there that were putting $$ on him late.

And if all the late money was on Lamon, that reduces profits as opposed to the long odds you got just 48 hours earlier.

People who followed the sport just didn't like Lamon's chances all that much and Brewster had been badly outboxed by Wl;ad victim Shufford and outslugged by Ettienne.

So what is the explanation for a massive odds shift backing the Don King fighter late--with that recent form--going into a title fight against a rival promoter?

Americans are always going to bet on their fighter, the odds always shorten before the fight and people bet on the underdog. Nothing new, also Wlad was sort of on the comeback trail still in this fight.

Did he receive a count? No. Did he go down from a punch? No. He tripped over the ref at the bell and was exhausted and determined unable to be ready to continue for the next round.

That's not what being KO'd brutally means idiot.

11-1 odds to 3.5-1? That's insane and very telling.

Was easily the most bizarre fight I've ever seen. Purrity, he clearly gassed. Sanders, he clearly got owned, destroyed, and tko'd. This? I don't think it was poison, but it was some kind of weird health issue. As soon as he knocked Brewster down, he seemed to start shaking or some ****. It didn't look at all like traditional "gassing" to me, and certainly not punch induced. He started having some kind of health episode that lasted until after the fight was stopped.

This is a good analysis, and it did start after the Brewster kd, but it was the most severe and bizarre looking "gassing" I've ever seen.
