I probably uniquely share your pain, then. My thing is that I used to watch his dad on Tuesday Night fights and I really wanted him to find his way to a world title. Really not going to happen now unless he gets a shot in the dreadful bridgerweight division, or something.
I'm pretty sure he was offered the AJ fight when Miller got caught with PEDs, but declined and so Ruiz took it. It wouldn't surprise me if he ducked that like so many of them protecting their records. But let's say he was offered and declined, well, he potentially missed out on upsetting AJ that fateful night during AJ's USA invasion.
This post is spot on. Hunter did not believe in himself. As good as he looked in certain fights, he chose the easy route, and chose to fight nobodies on an app that no one was subscribed to during his prime. Instead of facing the likes of Hrgovic and top contenders, he was left to rot. I am confident Hrgovic would have beaten him had they fought when they were supposed to as well.
