Oh yes, You would have pressed Lennox to the ropes and battered him into submission that night.
How many times have you captured a piece of the HW crown again?

McCall had a mental breakdown, but it's hard to pinpoint exactly why. He was also a coke addict, so perhaps that wrecked his brain.
I saw the fight, it was funny cause Lewis was baffled by McCall's crying while Steward was urging him to beat McCall up.

    Lewis was strong

    McCall was weak.

Speaking relatively, of course. But this is how struggle works. This is the self evident and undeniable conclusion. And it is the only logic. Trying to find more is just a fool's errand.

He just totally lost it, very sad. Should have being miles away from a ring.

He looked across and saw Manny Steward in the Lewis corner.

He was easily frustrated at the best of times. He started doing similar things in the Holmes fight but pulled himself together, and if Holmes had been a few years younger we might have seen a complete McCall breakdown in that one too.

    Looked like an emotional breakdown.

There's a huge difference between being mentally weak and having a mental health condition.

Audley Harrison and Charles Martin are mentally weak.

Oliver McCall would sign to fight anybody and was Mike Tyson's sparring partner for a while.

Mentally weak people would have been smashed to pieces by Mike Tyson in the mid 80's.

McCall wasn't mentally weak. He was mentally ill.

I can't actually believe that he was allowed to go through with the fight.

He'd never have passed the medical today.

I admire your faith in the current system, but I lack that faith!

He’d have passed the medical if the purse was big enough. Perhaps that’s how he did in the first place.

He has his problems, but likely the Greatest Chin Ever.
Fought forever, modern sized HW boxers like Bruno, 300 + rounds against Tyson sparring, never down.
Did not have a style of an evasive slickster that minimized damage.
Lewis whaled away on him when he was in the midst of that breakdown, no defense whatsoever, to no visible effect.

It would take an Atomic Bomb to stop the Atomic Bull.

In 75 fights he was only stopped once. Against Lewis and not really stopped rather retired. Had his last fight aged 54. You’d have to shoot him to stop him. Even then it’d probably be a RSF.
