Two/three years ago, you couldn't open the forum without seeing all the threads about the Nigerian nightmare beeing the next best heavyweight, granite chin, greatest knockoutpuncer etc etc. And know, Sam Peter is exposed as beeing a too heavy, non tactical one trick phoney. The McClinefight showed it for the nonbelievers after Wlad Klitschko brought him a defeat, he had troubles against Toney 1 who was over the hill light years ago, Brother Vitaly Klitschko made Sam Peter quit and in his last 9 fights the Nigerian 'ko-artist' had only 2 wins by KO ... wondering if anyone thinks he can still rock this 'poor' division.
I'm still here,, everysince I have been here I have not seen another poster that liked peter, punisher 33 I think is
I got off that bandwagon a long time ago, the Maskaev fight did it for me.His performance there was pathetic. What made it worse was that it was shown right after David Haye's demolition of Macinarelli, the difference in speed and skill was immense. He has gone downhill since then, and i doubt he will ever get any better.
Sam had a few fans, but I wouldn't say he had fan club. I saw more people calling him a seal clubber than a hero. Everyone knew that he was knocking out cans. It's not like he was Michael Grant.
See you added march 2008. I have been here before and it was terrible. He was one hell of a hype job before he fought Klitschko, the next big thing... and it was so clear he was a slow guy with good but not great power. At the Olympics he lost to the nice but very average fighter Paolo Vidoz. But I think 'we' needed another hype at the time.
Peter had a HUGE fan club here. HUGE. Nearly everytone had him whackin out vlad and being the nest great heavyweight..LMAO. Now everyone is hiding or denying their allegiance, based on the fact he got his ass handed to him by a guy with 9 kos.
Ty, for all his faults he is my guy threw thick and thin, I might say harsh **** from time to time when he lets me down but I will always back him no matter the **** I take from guys on here
