^^I don't think the TS recognizes how deceptive FLoyd is with his punches. The majority of the time, his opposition has no idea when he's actually going to throw a punch. They can never time him properly because they just don't know what or when exactly he's going to start throwing punches.

Canelo is a solid fighter but he's more than likely going to look like an amateur when he's in there with FLoyd. His footwork and handspeed will be too much.

  2. -Floyd doesn't rely on one thing, he has many weapons he can use.

I agree that its definitely a very effective punch but my point is that there are other punches he's going to throw alot more than that anyways so its not like its his main thing. He's going to throw the straight right, left hook, jab to the head alot more. He's still going to throw the pull counter and even his straight right to the body is more prominent or atleast equal to his jab to the body

i dont think canelo can take it away ... iv seen fighters with higher ring IQ and speed struggle at dealing with it...

but floyds not one dimensional so he will just reach into his bag of tricks and use whatever he wants

a quick left hook works well against the jab to the body if you time it right (zab judah did ok with it). but even a fighter as crafty and quick as judah struggled a bit

All those little small twitchy movements you see boxers make take energy. The feints and fakes, avoiding punches, rolling punches, thinking, nervous energy. It's also about the moment, and although he might appear poised, when he thinks he's behind on the cards, he will expend more energy. He has shown to have bad stamina in a lot of his fights, that isn't going to go away in this fight. His best bet is to find an opening early and keep pulling the trigger.

If he somehow takes away the jab to the body, Mayweather will put that tool back in his belt for a round, then pull it out when least expected.

People often bring up the Cotto fight as though it were a bad performance, but go back and watch how he quickly adapted. He changed his straight right mid round and started putting an arc on it to sweep around Cotto's guard.

It depends how he takes it away. So, describe how you think he would.

You make out as if all Floyd has is a jab to the body.

If Floyds jab to the body doesn't work he will change game plans, and find success with another tactic. Its that simple. I am not saying Floyds going to walk away with this fight, but what I am saying is you are questioning the best adaptive fighter in the game.

He has an A-Z game and its hardly worth asking what he is going to do because he Is going to adapt instantly.

Its a great answer!! His punch if a straight right hand not a jab to the body, he needs to worry about that

Trout had zero trouble landing on Cinnabuns' weak body.:deal

Floyd is far better and sneaky with his body shots than Austin.

I can't recall Floyd using the Bernard Hopkins stroll in any of his past fights in recent times, and considering Canelo isn't an impatient fighter, I think that straight right hand will be harder to land than you assume.

It's easier to land that punch against a guy like Margarito who walks straight in. Canelo is patient and uses angles.

The jab is a good punch to utilize because it's fast, effective, and Floyd can use it to set up his other shots.

That's what Canelo has to worry about, but if Canelo can manage to take away that punch, that will be a huge step forward.

I noticed things that he was doing in preparation, so be prepared to be surprised when he manages to do it early. I'm not saying, it won't come back at a later time during the fight, but its output will be limited.

So.... Because people mentioned it here Floyd will depend on that punch?? Don't get me wrong. I would love to see Canelo win. But that doesn't make sense.

I have seen footage that suggest otherwise.
