Dude you did all that to say what? Cotto has more skills than GGG and is more experienced. I personally think GGG beats Cotto in a tougher than expected fight but, if Cotto beats Alvarez I'd change that opinion.

GGG has never fought a Pac or a Trout or even a Margarito for that matter, so looking at their comp and how they both do respectively plays a part.

GGG has never fought an elite fighter the same could be asked how will he do when he fight's a top tier boxer with world class experience.

Finally I don't even like Ward but when you say everyone between 3 divisions is scared and noone will fight you, when an Elite guys calls you out there should be no excuses. I do like Mayweather he is a guy who did something GGG fans are scared for him to do which is jump up and face the best fighter in a higher weight class, when he fought Castillo 2x.

Either way thanks for adding to the thread 👍.

Duran had arguably more skills than either Leonard, Hearns or Hagler but probably had no business at 154/160.

Cotto is no Duran and probably has no business at 160 either, skills or no skills.

Mayweather was a big SFW. LW was no distance to travel for him. Moreover, Castillo had moved up, from around 126 into the 135 division, over forty or so bouts.

I'm a big fan of Cotto but I can't see him beating Canelo in this fight.

Of course he's juicing. He's with Roach, the dirtiest coach in the business

Golovkin would beat the drugs out of his dirty ass regardless

In a nutshell I also like his punch placement, I think it was the Rubio fight one of his knockdowns it started off as a hook aimed at the chin midway through changed trajectory and ended up a overhand hitting the forehead sick stuff. Saying that though literally the only thing you hear about GGGs "skills" is he can cut off the ring and hits hard that it is.

Bro I've seen every fight of his since he came to America, he's one of the most entertaining fighters out. Its just when you start saying sh!t likes he's this ATG fighter, and he'll beat everybody, and everyone is scared of him that I gotta disagree with you.

As far as unifying MW he should get credit for it but, due to his hype and fans he won't. When you got people saying you'll beat ****!ng LHWs and stuff like that and you personally say everybody between 3 divisions is scared of you. Fighting Lemieux and Lee isn't gonna cut it.

Whilst I don't believe Cotto can "destroy" Alvarez and, if he did, it would be big upset, does this mean the Boxing fandom has to resort to baseless accusations, with nothing but an unexpected result to support their conviction?

This. At 154 and below Cotto proved himself. When he fights at 160 against a top opponent no catchweight and wins I"ll also give him credit at middleweight. Until then He's holding the belt hostage.

Duran beat a prime Leonard and gave hell to Hagler so that assessment of him being more skilled is very pluasible.

Like I said right now I'd pick GGG to beat Cotto mainly for one reason he has power and is a MW. Which is why I posed the question, if Cotto destroyed Canelo that would/should say alot and would show Cotto can compete at a size disadvantage.

The Mayweather thing was just a shot really, at these hypocritical GGG fan's but still true none the less. Mayweather has never really been big at any weight he's always walked into the ring as one of the smallest weight wise in every division. Also Castillo started at LW.

Whoever wins that series of matchups is obviously a top fighter and indisputable MW king, period.

I obviously dont think Cotto or Canelo can beat GGG, but if either did I think it would be a major accomplishment.

I think you misunderstood me I just said "I want Canelo to win" because he'll probably fight Golovkin afterwards, whereas Cotto will just say im not a middleweight while holding a middleweight belt and ****ing us all off.

Cool story bro it seems like if you don't praise GGG as some guy who beats everybody, at every weight ever your a hater. If that's the case why are y'all so scared of "you know who".
