What Happens If Floyd Meets Cotto In The Center......

  1. No way Cotto is a much better boxer than Gatti thats not gonna happen, I think Floyd standing in with Cotto is to Cottos advantage, now Floyd legs are gone it gives Cotto a much bigger chance than before, however I stil say Floyd on points or a late KO, Cotto looked fast and nimble on his feet in his last fight it should be interesting..

Mayweather said this recently, "You guys don't have to worry aout me backpedaling. I'm going to stand there and box, toe to toe, use my defense and do what I do best - get the victory."

He's done it for two fights in a row so I expect to see it again. I think it'll make things pretty interesting.

I think this fight might be better than it would have been years ago. The only advantage the old Cotto has over the new Cotto is his killer mentality. It got him in trouble but also made for exciting fights. Today, he is more disciplined in his approach and is fighting smarter. I like that he has a really good team and trainer right now. Diaz will no doubt formulate a number of gameplans to try and solve Mayweather. On paper, Mayweather has got this, but fights aren't won on paper they are won in the ring.

Mayweather is getting older and he is bound to slow up eventually. We've seen some small signs of this as he it getting hit more often than before and is more stationary. His legs don't look as swift and it could be the reason why he is standing his ground more these days. With that in mind, I can see more exchanges now between the two than years ago when Floyd would get out of there after landing a couple shots.

I think people are also under rating Cotto's defense. If Floyd is comfortable pot shotting most of the fight, I believe Cotto will pick a lot of them off and catch them on the gloves. Overall, I am just happy that Cotto is getting a chance to be in a mega fight. He's put in his dues and deserves this shot.
