What happens if Marquez and Cotto both win?

JMM will most likely still want to fight Pacman and Cotto might go for shane???

 

If that happens then it's a guaranteed that Cotto vs Mosley rematch will happen next.

 

Pac and JMM will happen

Cotto will go on a rematch with shane

Floyd would retire again

Why not Marquez vs. Cotto?

I reckon that will happen.. as Marquez will want to win a title @ 147 & it'll be huge in June on the weekend of the Puerto Rican day parade at Madison Square Garden.

If Manny wins & he gets Cotto's belt.. then no brainer.. he's going after Manny! (as why would Manny fight Floyd coming off a loss at this point?).

Lol funny thing is... THEN, maybe Floyd would fight Cotto lololol.

Marquez can also still easily make 140 (before he started adding mass for Floyd, he could still just about make 130!! and obviously has fought twice at 135).. so that'd be something in the pipeline too. Nevermind becoming the first Mexican to win a title at 4-weights, he could become the first to do it at 5!

And if he gets wins over Floyd & (an official decision in the history books) over Manny... then he's gonna be right up there with Floyd, Manny & Oscar. Maybe ahead!

While a longshot, Marquez in the next 2 years.. if the situation plays out to his advantage.. could catapult him waay higher in ATG status... blitzing down the top100, past t50... maybe down to t20-30 (atleast!) so fast he makes a prime RJJ's speed look normal!

 

well if that happens I just hope we get to see a Marquez and pacman 3, im dying for that fight! GO MARQUEZ!!!!!!!!!!!1

 

If Cotto hadn't been screaming 'damaged goods' since after Margarito, and he had continued to improve & show the versatility he was beginning to develop before Margarito... (like in the Mosley & Judah fights) then I'd actually be genuinely excited & intrigued about this fight.

As it stands, it's just another Manny & Cotto name fight.
For all intent purposes, if Cotto can't show up like the Cotto of old (pre-Margarito)... & comes flat-footed, a bit uneasy, not as tenacious... then I'm afraid Miguelito's lack of footspeed will get exploited by the rapid hands & feet of Manny!

A 3 yrs ago Cotto dishing out a left-hook to the body of Manny.. that's something I'd love to see -- how Manny reacts!!!

 

it depends how they win. if they both win by KO's, then i think they'll fight eachother next. If they both win by split decision, then possibly rematches will occur.
