Come on, PBF took that fight off and still beat ODH. PBF brought about 45% of his boxing skills and still won. If he decided to try instead of smile and let DLH hit him then the second fight wouldn't have come about. So I feel if DLH beats PBF then it would be an upset of epic proportions.(sp)

Oscar just stopped using his jab is the biggest myth in boxing. He didn't just stop using it, PBF took his jab away.:deal

if Oscar won the rematch then it would be down to inactivity on Floyds part and him also growing old overnight... dont get me wrong, I ****ing hate Floyd Mayweather, but as a boxer, well, to be honest I've not really seen many better in my years as a fan... in fact, Hearns and Leonard are the only 2 people I say are better, but they are 2 of my 3 favorite fighters of all time.

It's a rematch of a competitive fight that Floyd won 8-4 or maybe even 7-5 on most observers' scorecards.

Floyd willl probably be around a 3-1 favorite.

That doesn't come close to fights like Douglas-Tyson, Rahman-Lewis 1, Holyfield-Tyson 1, Baldomir-Judah, Brown-Norris 1, etc...Vernon Forrest was a 7-1 underdog when he dethroned p4p king Shane Mosley. Nonito Donaire was a 7-1 underdog against Vic Darchinyan. Baldomir was a 10-1 dog against Judah.

The same thing that happens everytime that Oscar wins a big fight. All of his haters will say that Floyd was too small, or even shot... and then discredit Oscar's victory. Wouldn't even be suprised if they used the Floyd in WWE excuse for the loss.

I would seriously consider either the rapid decay/erosion of Mayweather's skills, that he can be bought like anyone else or that Oscar is the new miracle man in boxing. Hoya can figure out Mayweather and give advice to Hatton but seems plausible to say that he can't do nothing to win the fight all the same.

De la Hoya v Mayweather 3

    or

    De la Hoya v Cotto

Cant see it happening though, i thought the first fight was pretty close, but really there is only one fighter Mayweather needs to fight and thats Cotto:bbb

And finally Cotto is making some noise for the fight to happen:good

See? Pre-loss excuses all bagged up and ready months out from the possible fight.

I don't think it does that much for PBF. At all.

LOL:lol: There is no way in hell that DLH beating Floyd would be a HUGE upset. It would be a big upset but the MT vs Douglas upset was MASSIVE! DLH faught a close fight with Floyd in their initial fight and Floyd didn't dominate like he normally does...It wasnt like the schooling Hatton took at the hands of Floyd. If DLH won it would be surprising given that DLH is past his prime and floyd is right at his. But given the results from the first fight you can't say that Floyd is gonna be a HUGE betting favorite ala MT vs Douglas.

    your kidding right?

I'm waiting for the just joking post!

Floyd didn't even try in the first fight! De la Hoya was determined and loss! You can see the frustration on his face the whole fight! Mayweather was in their playing with him!

WTF are you talking about bro. 45%?:huh For taking the fight off he sure did show the **** up with some nice offensive output. Floyd never takes a fight off...he always performs at his best. Floyd just couldn't dominate against a guy who is close to his talent level and skill level. DLH was Floyds hardest oppoent in terms of overall talent and skill and the eveness of the fight proved that Floyd deserves his accolades. Maybe in your own world DLH beating floyd is a upset of "epic proportions" but in reality it would just be an upset.
