Well, being that a prime RJJ and a prime FP are 20 lbs apart in favor
of patterson isn't really fair, wouldn't you say?

I do often wonder though how Patterson would fare if he stayed at LHW rather then move up to HW

Ehm, Floyd Patterson was 182lbs when he earned a title by beating Archie Moore and RJJ was 177lbs when he put Virgil Hill down with a beautiful body shot.

I'd say that matchup would be realistic.

Patterson would have been Roys most difficult fight at the top and in his prime. The Patterson left hook was a thing of beauty , and the difference between the two is that Floyd could knockout heavyweights.

Pretty obvious how Floyd would have fared at Light Heavyweight, he'd have ****ed **** up something awful. He'd have knocked Jones out.

He would have been one of the best light heavyweights ever.he would still have his punching power and speed along with his chin being better against the smaller men.He should have been a light heavyweight but i suppose D'amato wanted to bulk him up for the marquee division

He was around 195 when he fought johanssen. Patterson was a kid
when he fought in that range. He was naturally a bigger man than roy.
Quite a bit bigger in terms of the fight game. Once again, not a fair fight.
    You lose again!

i wouldnt be suprised if jones was heavier on the night he beat hill...because he was weighing in at light heavy..so he most likely put on weight..where as floyd wasnt trying to get down in weight to fight archie...
