As in the Walcott that actually fought Louis. How about the Braddock that fought Louis, but against the Louis from the first Walcott fight?
The Braddock that fought Joe Louis vs the older Joe Louis that struggled with Walcott? I think that Braddock gives post war Louis a very tough fight! I always respected that effort from Jim. What an effort! Braddock is one of the lesser champions but the guy really went down trying against a very good, young Joe Louis in his prime, decking him and making Joe work for everything he won in every round it lasted. I think such a driven, spirited opponent as Jim was, he fought as if his life depended on it, almost on a deathwish, is a much harder opponent to beat for old Louis than young Louis, and probably gives Joe as much trouble as Walcott did. Heck, Jim won’t win, but any world class guy fighting like his life depended on it is not an easy guy to fight. Not for anybody.
Braddock still loses but takes Joe later into the fight. And tags Joe a lot more. I'd call it Louis by ko 13 .
