Chris is a tough kid and a good boxer, it'd be a good result for Spence. Would be surprised to see anything other than a UD in his favor though

 

Spence isn't fighting Brook next. Brook doesn't need to fight a mandatory for another year and Spence is still a high risk/low reward for a voluntary defense. I think the best guy he could possibly get next is someone like Robert Guerrero, or the Ponomarev vs Solomon winner.

 

Algieri instantly becomes an "overrated bum" in some eyes.

 

He's not a bum but I believe he's certainly overrated. Dude's entire career is built on a single split decision win where he got knocked down more than once.

 

Spence moves on to fight Robert Guerrero.

Chris Algieri get's fed to Sammy Vasquez.

 

Vargas maybe? Vargas is making some noise at WW and a win against him would probably mean more than a win against Guerrero.

 

Algieri should retire. He already has degrees in sports nutrition and has expressed interest in that. I don't think Spence will stop Algieri. Pacquiao couldn't do it and he knocked Algieri down 6 times. If anything it would be a tko stoppage because of Algieri's eye. I predict a UD win for Spence but Algieri is definitely not to be underestimated. Big test for Spence.

Not seeing why everyone's writing Algieri off so quickly. It looks pretty evenly matched to me.

I'm not even a "caged beast" fan but I don't see him walking through Chris. Algieri's foot speed and hand speed are not all that disimilar, He's a boxer with what appears to be an extremely strong chin, who would prefer to move around the ring. He also fought the elite speed guy at the weight with minimal problems handlng his speed. Spence has fought nothing like that as of yet, everyone he's fought has been a sitting duck. it's a 50/50 fight

 

This is going to be a good, competitive fight; nobody is getting blown out or KO'd. This fight is actually going to answer more questions about Spence than it is Algieri, this fight is for Spence.
