Thats it. The WBC belt will be in the SS tournament - but Kessler will be some kind of super champion most likely. And will have the right to fight the new owner of the "interim" belt.

 

I'd have to check again but I thought Sauerland said that he vacated the belt and that when (if) he is fit to fight again then he will be first to fight the holder.

 

I've got a feeling that he won't be returning. If he does, we know he needs the cash.

 

Well i'd assume Kessler would have to vacate, despite this actually being one of those times when having an interim champion would be applicable. and hopefully the froch vs abraham fight is for the title as they are rated 2 and 3 by the wbc respectively after dirrell. in which case it would stay in the tournament. but seeing as i'm thinking wishfully i doubt that would happen.
