Mundine has indeed been barred from travelling to the USA....
Khoder Nasser has imposed the ban due to the fact that any of the top 10 in his division will knock him TFO
I believe he is studying spanish so he can do press conferences in Buenos Aires and tell them that he is the black superman, before winning a UD against there 14th ranked JMW and once again claiming to be Australia's greatest athlete....

Not just over-hyped. They are seriously full of ****!

Even Ash finally woke up to the charade Teke - surely by now you have as well?

Remember the endless stream of fanciful 2 and 3 part plans to world supremacy team Mundine spread in the hope that the gullible would continue paying for PPV mismatches?

What did those 'plans' amount to other than hot air Teke?

Now that Choc's 'not going to fight any more Australians after Wood' and perhaps won't fight overseas either, do you really think things are going to improve from the absolute crap level they are currently at?

Geez, 23 May 2009 is a bit recent, you'd be better off asking what's changed since 8 June 2005...

the more things change the more they stay the same, eh?

i see the peculiar fondness for making **** up to bag someone you patently dislike is still rampant in these parts.

there are more than enough legitimate reasons to bag mundine without having to resort to making **** up ffs. the very notion that he'd be allowed into the US to spar, but not to fight is hilariously ******ed.

US Customs: "Sorry Mr Mundine, but because of comments you made about the 9/11 terrorist attacks - that were deliberately misrepresented by certain right wing journalists to make you look like a bigger ***** than you already are - I can't let you into the United States of America."
Mundine: "What!? Oh come on bruv, I'm just here to spar. Honest guv."
US Customs: "Oh. Well that's different then. Come right in... But sparring only, right?"
    Mundine: "Yeah bruv. Sparring only."
US Customs. "Ok cool. But be warned, if we catch you doing anything else, and you're for it. You can spar, but if you fight - You. Are. ****ed. We don't let alleged terrorist sympathisers fight here. They can spar all they want, but no fighting!"
    Mundine: "No worries cuz."

    ****. Right. Off. :D

btw, if you're looking for the point where mundine started to make a mockery of his "I'll fight the best anytime, anywhere" talk, you need look no further than May 2006.

having learnt considerable lessons from his loss to kessler, mundine gave his career performance in dismantling danny green. problem was, it was also a career pay day. he realised he didn't need to go anywhere or face anyone to keep the money rolling in, so he didn't.

the rest is all **** and wind.

Actually mate, he would probably require a working visa of some sort to fight in the US as he would be earning money from it, whereas sparring he wouldn't.

So yeah, he could quite possibly be refused entry to the US if he isn't granted the appropriate visa :D

Not if he was paying to spar someone over there, instead of being paid to spar.

Has he ever been paid to spar in the US?

incorrect. he's still conducting business in the country, so while the visa would be slightly different, the same sort of conditions would apply.

the bottom line is, mundine has never been banned from entering the US. the wbc refused to sanction him for a while, but that's it from the whole 9/11 bs.

the only reason he hasn't fought in the us is because he makes enough money fighting here and refuses to leave his comfort zone.
