What has GGG done to legitimately make the Canelo fight?

If Golovkin has always been about going after more belts, then why didn’t he go after Cotto when Cotto had the belt, or Martinez when Martinez had the belt?

It seems that Golovkin was perfectly content to defend his version of the MW belt over and over UNTIL Canelo got his hands on the MW belt. It’s pathetic that Golovkin had to resort to boxing politics to acquire a MW belt without winning it in the ring. How Golovkin was handed that title is nothing to brag about, and no Canelo didn’t hand it to him. He vacated it, and any legit commission would have made Golovkin fight for that title and actually win it after it was vacated by Canelo.

That right there shows you how corrupt the WBC was to simply “hand” Golovkin that title after Canelo vacated. Like I said, how he got that title is nothing to brag about.

Yeah Canelo having a version of the MW really helped him favorable in negotiations. BEFORE Canelo even won the belt he was SET UP to have Golovkin be the mandatory. Real FAVORABLE to Canelo. Having a Mandatory before even winning a title. Like that’s real NORMAL LMAO.

More to your point though, BJS would be a great fight for Canelo, to pick up that strap before facing Golovkin. To give Golovkin more incentive to fight Canelo.

But lets not forget, AS WE SPEAK RIGHT NOW Canelo is the LINEAL MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION which historically is more important than ANY PHYSICAL TITLE. So even without a MW title over his shoulder, Golovkin still has incentive to fight Canelo, so he can call himself the LINEAL MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION.

YOU CAN’T BE THE MAN IN YOUR DIVISION UNLESS YOU BEAT THE MAN, AND CANELO IS THE MAN AS HE BEAT THE MAN WHO BEAT THE MAN!

If Golovkin has no incentive to fight Canelo right now, then he has no respect for boxing historically and the Lineal Championship. After all, it’s HIS division NOT Canelo. Canelo is the MAN of HIS division, a JR MIDDLEWEIGHT LOL. Golovkin needs to Fight Canelo to be considered the MAN at MW!
