Don't get me wrong, Wlad is a great fighter, he's champ for a reason but his opposition just isn't up to par with him. Today he fought a soft cab driver who was supposed to test him, and Wlad dominated in a sloppy fashion. Yeah you can say Povetkin was undefeated and a good fighter, but who has he really beat? Other cab drivers? Where are the Ali's, the Foremans, the Frasiers, the Tyson's, the Holmes, hell even the Ken Norton's of the heavyweight division? The guys that showed up in tip top shape, had the skill, the heart, and were willing to die in the ring. You don't see that anymore. They keep throwing in NCAA football players, and NFL dropouts into the heavyweight division, and hoping that they'll become the next best thing. I honestly feel that the heavyweight division is for the guys that don't want to workout, and know that they possibly only have a punchers chance to becoming champ. It's just sad, I feel sorry for Wlad, he'll be known as a good heavyweight champ that beat a bunch of nobodies. I don't think he could've beat the atg heavys, but he deserves a place in the hof.

Povetkin has fought better than it was predictable. Only that he tended to use too much a low head, so you have to naturally lean on it.
I'm not justifying wlad, i think he's really ageing, but for example he didn't held nearly as much against Wach (more dangerous IMO ) or Pianeta, against whom he looked good.

Well he beat everybody that's put in front of him in the last 10 or so years. That's what he will be known for, just like the other good dozen ATGs before him.

You obviously ride the short bus because I clearly didn't say that he sucks as a fighter. I just want to see him fight somebody at his level. He's a great fighter, It would be nice to see him get tested. It's just one bum after another. Unfortunately, nobody is at the elite level at heavyweight anymore

I thought Wlad looked a lot like some of the other "technicians" in boxing today.

you people keep asking this dumbass question. look... the division needs to be split. these guys are too damn big. anything over 230 should be considered super heavyweight.

I don't hate wlad, I just hate his opposition. A bunch of guys who don't take the sport seriously. Wlad always shows up in top shape, has the skill set, but his opponents don't. I guess I just wish there were competitive fights at heavyweight

I can't complain much about Povetkin's performance. He had a plan, tried to implement it. He fought okay, but Wlad was just better. Wlad actually did a few new moves in there. He was lighter and actually used the angles. Sneaked in some uppercuts too.

The real reason Klitschko is so much better than most heavyweights, is because most of today's heavyweights don't put on a pair of gloves until they are in their mid 20's. Klitschko came out of the old soviet sport system and was raised to be be an athlete. So he's got a lifetime of dedication, whereas others don't.
