Well the speed and explosiveness are gone meaning no more shock knockouts and no more combination

this combined with his opponents in survival mode and not willing to trade betters the chances it goes to the cards

and Barret did what any mobile and prime heavy should do only Barret was well out of prime

The knowledge of some posters on ESB is embarassing

Its a combination between age/ being shot and lack of conditioning, Tua probably hasnt been training with the same ferocity that he had when he was younger, his legs and back probably not as toned and strong, hence his power going

I think that statement has been too broadly used.

They should restate it, and make it in many cases the power is the last thing to go.

Cause some, if not many, fighters clearly lose power as they get older.

Its natural for the human body to lose strength as you age. And if you are getting to be almost 40, or more, a loss of power would be expected. Its the natural progession of the aging process.

But some don't lose the power at the end of their career, at least not to where its noticeable.

NOt only is his power gone, his chin begis to deteriorate as well.

Power and chin are the last ones to go they say.

Maybe Tua was shot long ago, even as far back as a decade ago, we just did not notice because he had stil power and chin back then.

The power is still there (ask Cameron) but he's slowed down significantly and was never exceptionally fast to begin with. If you lack the speed to deliver the cargo, all the power in the world is just wasted inventory. Tua doesn't have the quickness and timing now to land his full power flush on anyone remotely good (or even decent).

The speed is still there. He looked fast against King. He looked fast for the first 4 rounds against Barrett. Then he plodded. If he can put it all together...but the best of Tua was in the Lou Duva days. Fast, power, stamina, chin.

Guys this is embarrassing, Power is the product of force and velocity. If you lose speed you by definition lose power. Power is not the same as strength.

Strength plus Speed equals power. Basic physics.
