What has Mikkel Kessler done to warrant such a high rating?

    hehe - who???

He has fought Calzaghe, Mundine (both away) and Andrade ... he unified two belts and went for for the next. Which opponents are tougher? (opponents who are realistic ... meaning fights that can actually be made)

He looked absolutely dominated and confused against Calzaghe,

    I didn't noticed that!:huh

Andrade is limited, Mundine is the biggest waste of talent in boxing in ten years, and he lost to Calzaghe...Yes Kessler is abit over rated, and totally happy fighting second tier fighters and picking up paper belts.

I think the fact that Markus Beyer gets no respect because Kessler KO'd him in 3 says a lot. Plus, I felt Kessler gave Calzaghe a much more competitive fight than Hopkins, which says a lot. Kessler still has much to prove, but I definitely think he's got the goods. Other than Calzaghe, I favor him against anyone at 160, 168, or 175.

good point - Kessler did give Calzaghe more of a fight i Wales than Hopkins did at home against Calzaghe. Add to that Hopkins fight against Pavlik and you got the answer to the question in the top of the thread.

A second thing is that Kessler has sought the big fights - also when the fights where abrod and he has fought his mandatories without crap. He was the first SMW-fighter that actually put his actions behind his claim to want to unify the belts...

Yeah because sooo many people think that Kessler won the fight with Joe:patsch

No one thought that Kessler won that fight, and about half the people felt that Hopkins won the fight with Joe.

I wouldnt favor him vs alot of fighters

    lol

Beyer is a victim and not a serious challenge...

We all will see how good he is if he fights against Taylor, Pavlik or Abraham and I'm sure that P&A move up next year...

Even Kessler vs. Miranda could be an interesting fight.

Didn't last night just show you?

Kessler did the job Bute was supposed to do, without getting hurt, without clinching, just a pure boxing clinic for 12 rounds.
